Successful Registration
Our professional Recruitment Team will help you through the registration process and offer you work, with a diverse range of organisations and services, as quickly as possible. Candidates register with Central for different types of work, including: ad hoc & emergency shifts, temporary full-time jobs and permanent positions.
We specialise in recruiting experienced health and social care professionals at all grades including: Care Workers, Support Assistants, Support Workers, Senior Support workers, Managers and Deputy Managers, Senior Managers and Directors. Our customers are typically local authorities, housing associations, charities and private sector organisations, who provide support to the most vulnerable people in society, including:
- People with mental health issues
- Young people and care leavers
- People with substance misuse and complex needs
- Former rough sleepers and homeless people
- Adults and children with learning disabilities
- Families
- Refugees and asylum seekers
- People fleeing domestic abuse
- Single and teenage parents
- Older people
Registration criteria
To successfully register with Central you will need to demonstrate one of the following:
- A minimum of 12 months' paid work experience with one or more of the above client groups within the past 3 years
- A minimum of 6 months' paid experience with Older People within the past 2 years
- An associated degree – Social Work or Psychology with at least one completed professional placement
Candidates seeking temporary or ad hoc work must also have a minimum availability of at least three days or nights a week for at least six months.
Registration process
The information below will help you to successfully prepare to undertake our registration process.

- We will call you within 48 hours to discuss your CV, availability and work preferences
- We will ask you to complete an on-line form with your personal details and a 10-year work history
- We will invite you to meet us for a face to face interview and to review your Right to Work documentation and to complete a DBS check
- We will then apply for your references covering the past 5 years
