Central Recruitment is currently recruiting for two permanent Project Worker, to work in the Euston area. The service offers accommodation and specialist support to street homeless men and women and victims of modern-day slavery or trafficking to re-establish themselves in the community.

The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday - Sunday on a rota basis covering early (8AM - 4PM) and late (2PM - 10PM) shifts. You will work three weekends in every five. This is a permanent role. The salary is £30,420 per annum.

In this position, you will be required to:
- Assess client strengths, needs and risk and work with 6 key clients to formulate goals and plans to support progress
- Discuss and review support plans and risk assessments to facilitate a period of reflection and recovery
- Take a 'team around the person' approach to your work, maximising the levels of support available to each individual
- Liaise and build networks with local community groups
- Assess clients' accommodation and mitigate any risks
- Signpost clients to appropriate services
- Promote development of positive social networks and relationships
- Assist clients' with finding employment/alternative accommodation
- Monitor the health and wellbeing of clients and ensure access to healthcare as necessary
- Liaise with/accompany individuals to meetings with external agencies and medical professionals
- Liaise regularly with external partners to ensure coordinated support
- Organise regular monitoring on all service expenditure and income
- Provide support in the kitchen and carry out reception duties
- Take responsibility for your own and others Health and Safety
- Work in line with organisational safeguarding procedures, ensuring that any concerns are shared and escalated appropriately

To apply for this role, you must have:
- Experience working with vulnerable people with support needs e.g. homeless, victims of domestic violence, victims of modern day slavery
- Ability to undertake risk and support needs assessments
- Experience of immigration issues for non-UK nationals
- Be able to help individuals stay safe and make positive life choices
- Good organisational and planning skills
- Able to work in a pressurised environment with an assertive and proactive approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good level of IT skills, with the ability to use Microsoft Package and learn new systems quickly
- Desirable; Fluent in a second language especially Eastern European, Arabic, Punjabi, Mandarin or Farsi
