Central is currently recruiting for a Project Worker, to work in the Westminster area. This supported accommodation provides support to vulnerable adults with a range of mental health support needs.
The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday - Sunday on a rota basis, covering mid (10AM - 4:30PM) and long (8AM - 8:30PM) shifts. Temporary cover is required for approximately 2-3 months. The pay rate for this role is £14.49 per hour, with £ 1.75 holiday pay, totalling £16.24 per hour.
In this position, you will be required to: - Hold a caseload of 2-3 key clients and conduct regular key working sessions resulting in agreed support and safety plans. - Support residents with daily living tasks including cleaning, cooking, shopping, and managing finances. - Encourage and assist residents in accessing educational, employment, leisure, and social activities, fostering personal development. - Ensure residents are abiding by the terms of their housing license and maintaining a safe living environment - Build trust and rapport with residents, particularly those who may be resistant or hesitant, using a person-centred approach to engage them in the planning process. - Work closely with other professionals, incorporating their input into safety and support plans to provide a holistic approach to resident care. - Collaborate with professionals like social workers, healthcare workers, and mental health specialists to ensure comprehensive care - Act as an advocate for residents, ensuring their needs are communicated and respected - Educate and guide residents in understanding and following relevant policies and procedures to promote a safe and effective living environment

To apply for this role, you must have; - Experience of working with vulnerable adults including mental health in a supported housing environment - A strong understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred approaches - The ability to quickly build trust and rapport with residents who may be ambivalent or resistant - Experience of in managing a caseload or key clients, conducting assessments, and analysing data to identify resident needs - The ability to create collaborative support plans, build rapport, and foster collaboration with residents - Strong communication and coordination skills to work with professionals from various disciplines - Knowledge of health and safety regulations and protocols - Proficient in maintaining accurate records and preparing reports while adhering to confidentiality protocols - Understanding and adherence to relevant policies and procedures in supported accommodation services - Flexibility, resilience, and readiness to adapt to a dynamic environment
