Central is currently recruiting for a Supported Housing Officer, to work in the Hammersmith & Fulham area. The service provides 24 hour supported accommodation for 12 care leavers between the ages of 16-21 with high support needs.
The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working on a 7 day rota covering early (8:30AM - 4:30PM), mid (11AM - 7PM) and late shifts (2PM - 10PM). Candidates will work on a two week rota basis covering 45 hours during week 1, and 30 hours during week 2. Candidates will also be required to work every other weekend.
Cover is required for 1-2 months but may be extended. The pay rate for this role is £11.19 per hour, totalling £12.82 inclusive of holiday pay.
In this position, you will hold a caseload of 4 young people, supporting them into work or education, with life skills, managing their mental health needs, substance use and offending behaviour.
You will: - Provide regular and structured outcome focussed support sessions - Support residents with benefits, housing, ASB, substance misuse, health - Work with residents to get into EET - Complete risk assessments if required
To apply for this role, you must have experience of working with care leavers and keyworking with a caseload of at least 4 young people. You must have strong written and verbal communication skills and up to date knowledge of welfare rights that may affect young people.
This role will be majority lone working and so please ensure you are comfortable with this prior to expressing your interest.
