Course Overview



Central Training's Conflict & Aggression course is designed to equip candidates with the skills and confidence to effectively manage challenging or volatile situations. Through a blend of practical techniques and strategies, the course focuses on safely de-escalating conflict and difficult situations. Grounded in key theories, including the cycle of aggression and the underlying causes of conflict, this course provides a comprehensive understanding of why aggression occurs including the impact of mental health issues, autism and different levels of insight. The trainer will explore best practice considerations including supervision, risk assessment, teamwork, record keeping, consistent approaches, limits of the role, post incident reviews and debriefs.

  • Recognising triggers and stopping incidents escalating into crisis
