Working with Hard-to-Engage Service Users (Half Day) Course Overview This half-day course for front line staff explores working with service users where there are barriers to engagement. Throughout the day delegates will explore definitions and examples of resistance and low motivation. The Course will look different models to assist in understanding engagement, including the Cycle of Change with a focus on how to positively work with resistance whilst avoiding conflict. This course also covers the role of boundaries and contracts in working with hard to engage service users whilst also exploring the key interpersonal qualities and skills that can assist engagement.
